Here's a tip for lighting: go to Walmart and get some LED strip lights, more the cool-white or daylight, and mount them somehow around your workspace in somewhat of an arc. I found some on eBay that are both dimmable and have adjustable color from "warm" to "daylight" and in between (all white, not RGB). You can get 16 x 1' strips for $25. They'll give you nice even lighting all around (no shadows) and maybe less skin reflections.

Also, one critical tip about the MICROPHONE is DO **NOT** BUY AN "OMNI-DIRECTIONAL" MIC!!! You want a CARDIOID or something like that. These are DIRECTIONAL and won't pick up room sounds the way an OMNI mic will.
